Silent Longing
The silent voices lose their virtue in a crowd,
An entire group with an opinion would scream out loud.
Is this chaos meant to signify certain pride,
Or was there ever a story beyond what was vowed?
The fanatic-minded hold their notions in a cloud.
I wonder,
I fumble,
My heart drops and begins to crumble.
Thoughts that make my words mumble.
All of it is a gamble.
An escape planned,
A stairway scanned.
“Run away,” you think?
Face the silent choices.
Let the voice within you be heard,
And let people join in rejoice.
